Joint Commission
Destination Hope is Joint Commission Accredited
We value our clients and the choice they make in trusting our organization with their addiction recovery. We are very proud of our national accreditation as a Joint Commission substance abuse treatment provider. On this page you can learn more about the Joint Commission and what our accreditation says about the treatment we provide and what that means to you.
What is the Joint Commission?
The Joint Commission is a national accrediting agency that sets standards and goals that each accredited facility must adhere to. In order to become accredited, an unbiased and independent review of the facility is performed by the Joint Commission. The facilities’ standards and performance are then measured against national statistics to ensure the very highest level of quality. These goals are stringent and an overwhelmingly positive track record for client care and outcomes must be maintained in order to continue being accredited.
Why does it matter?
As in every industry, there are the good and the bad. The Joint Commission accreditation helps consumers differentiate between the two in an unbiased fashion. While certification doesn’t mean the drug rehab facility is right for everyone, there are minimum standards of quality that are being adhered to within that facility. We encourage you to interview each facility thoroughly to see which is right for you or your loved one.
